The internet is creating a great horizontalization of human social, and economic practices, which is profoundly influencing current business practice and creating a collaborative economy. However, not all aspects and characteristics of the new collaborative practices may be compatible with the current economic models, and they have 'trancendent' aspects which may point to a further and more profound phase transition to a radically different type of economy and civilisation. In this lecture, we wil examine the relation between collaborative value creation and the market, and the seeds of the future that peer production carries within itself.
